If you’re planning ahead for Christmas, you can currently get a £20 bonus with Park Christmas Savings when you sign up through a referral and place your first order of at least £50.
I’ve recently joined Park Christmas Savings myself. I set a £100 Christmas savings goal and made an initial £50 payment, so I wanted to explain how Park actually works and how to qualify for the current £20 referral offer.

How to get the £20 Park Christmas Savings bonus
Here’s how the current referral offer works:
- Sign up using my Park referral link:
https://getpark.mention-me.com/m/wa/hz4ipygx-69cb7a289c - Create a new Park Christmas Savings account.
- Choose your Christmas savings goal and what you’d like to receive for Christmas.
- Place your first order for at least £50.
- Make your payment towards your Park order.
- Your £20 referral reward is added to your Park account, subject to meeting the offer conditions.
The official referral terms state that the referred friend must be a new Park Christmas Savings customer, aged over 18, and place their first order with a minimum £50 spend.

Park says the referred friend’s £20 reward is delivered on the day of purchase, provided the qualifying purchase isn’t cancelled.
There is also a £50 minimum balance requirement on the referrer’s Park account. I’ve already paid £50 into my own account, so I’ve met that requirement.
My Park Christmas Savings account so far
I joined Park myself before writing this guide rather than simply repeating the promotional information.
Here’s what I’ve done:
My Christmas goal: £100
My first payment: £50
Referral offer: £20
Monthly Direct Debit: No
Account opened: September 2026
I deliberately started with a relatively small £100 goal rather than committing hundreds of pounds.
I’ll update this article as my order progresses and when I receive my Christmas gift cards.
What is Park Christmas Savings?
Park Christmas Savings is a Christmas budgeting scheme that has been operating in the UK for more than 50 years.
Rather than facing all your Christmas spending at once in November or December, you choose a Christmas spending target and make payments towards it during the year.
You then receive the gift cards, digital cards, vouchers or other products you’ve ordered in time to use them for Christmas.
You don’t have to use Park to cover your entire Christmas budget. Simply put £50, £100 or £200 aside for presents or Christmas food.
Do you have to pay into Park every month?
No.
This was one of the things I wasn’t sure about before joining.
Park lets you pay weekly, monthly or whenever suits you.
A monthly Direct Debit is available, but it isn’t compulsory. You can instead make individual payments towards your order.
I’ve personally paid £50 towards my £100 goal without setting up a compulsory £50 monthly payment.
Ultimately, however, you need to pay enough to cover your Christmas order before Park sends it.

What’s the minimum I need to spend to get the £20 Park bonus?
The current refer-a-friend terms state that a new customer needs to place their first order with a minimum £50 spend to qualify for the £20 account reward.
So you don’t need to commit hundreds of pounds to Park just to access the referral offer.
The important distinction is that £50 is the minimum qualifying order amount, not a monthly payment requirement.
The person referring you also needs at least £50 on their Park account.
Is the £20 Park referral bonus cash?
No, and this is important.
The £20 referral reward is £20 “on account” with Park.
You shouldn’t think of this as depositing £50 and then immediately withdrawing £70 into your bank account.
Park is a Christmas budgeting service rather than an instant-access savings account. Your payments are made towards your Christmas order and the £20 is a Park account reward.
For that reason, I would only use the offer if you’re happy to have the money committed towards your Christmas spending.
What happens if I cancel my Park order?
This is worth knowing before signing up.
Park currently allows voucher and gift-card orders to be amended or deleted online until 8 November.
However, if you’ve already paid your account in full, Park says the order can no longer be amended.
There is also an important cancellation deadline.
You can cancel your entire order free of charge up to 1 September. After 1 September, Park says you may be charged 10% of the order value, with a minimum £25 charge.
As we’re already past 1 September for Christmas 2026, this is particularly relevant to anyone joining now.
The referral terms also state that the £20 reward will be revoked if you request a refund on the qualifying order.
So I wouldn’t recommend signing up purely to try to collect the £20 and then cancelling the order.
What gift cards can you get with Park Christmas Savings?
Park has quite a large selection.
Its current 2026 catalogue includes:
- ASOS
- JD Sports
- Marks & Spencer
- Nando’s
- Primark
- Sainsbury’s
- Sports Direct
- The Entertainer
- Love2shop
- Purple Gift Cards
- Purple Digital Cards
- Your Choice cards
There are also combination products involving:
- Amazon
- Tesco
- Asda
- Smyths
Park says its Purple Card provides access to 150+ participating retailers, both online and in-store.
Exactly where you can spend your Christmas savings therefore depends on the card or combination you’ve selected.
Can I get a Tesco gift card with Park?
Yes, although there’s an important detail.
Park offers a Purple Gift Card / Tesco Combi, rather than simply converting every possible order value into a Tesco Gift Card.
For example, Park’s current £300 Tesco combination contains:
£250 Purple Card + £50 Tesco Gift Card
Its £500 combination contains:
£400 Purple Card + £100 Tesco Gift Card
Park says the Tesco Gift Card can be used across more than 3,000 Tesco stores and you can collect Clubcard points on qualifying purchases.
So if you’re joining specifically because you want Tesco money for your Christmas food shop, check the precise Purple/Tesco split before placing your order.
Can I use my Purple Card for Tesco, Asda or other supermarkets?
There is another useful option.
Park says Purple Card holders can exchange their balance for selected e-codes, including major supermarkets.
This can give you more flexibility than you might initially expect from the Purple Card.
However, watch out for exchange fees.
Park has previously confirmed that a 5% fee applies when exchanging Purple Card credit for certain Amazon and major supermarket e-codes, while exchanges for many other participating retailers are free.
So I wouldn’t automatically assume that £100 on a Purple Card means you’ll get £100 to spend at every retailer available through an exchange.
If you know you specifically want Tesco or another supermarket, compare the available Park combinations before choosing your order.
Can I get Amazon gift cards with Park?
Yes.
Park currently offers both Purple Gift Card / Amazon Combi and Purple Digital Card / Amazon Digital Combi products.
For example, Park’s £500 physical Amazon combination currently contains:
£350 Purple Card + £150 Amazon Gift Card
Amazon Gift Cards received this way are subject to Amazon’s normal gift-card conditions and can’t be redeemed for cash.
What is the Park Purple Card?
The Purple Card is one of Park’s more flexible Christmas spending options.
Park says it can be used with more than 150 participating retailers, including both high-street and online retailers.
This can be useful if you don’t yet know exactly where you’ll do your Christmas shopping.
There is also a Purple Digital Card, which Park says can be downloaded to your smartphone wallet for contactless in-store spending as well as online shopping.
One thing to remember is that exchanging Purple credit into certain third-party e-gift cards can sometimes incur a fee, so check before exchanging.
What about the Your Choice Card?
If retailer restrictions are your main concern, Park also offers Your Choice cards.
These are Mastercard-based cards designed to be used much more widely online and in stores accepting Mastercard.
However, some Your Choice products come with an additional charge.
For example, Park currently states that its Purple Digital / Your Choice Digital Combi carries a 5% charge.
So always compare the total cost with the actual spending value before choosing one of these products.
Is Park Christmas Savings a bank account?
No.
Park explicitly states that a Park account is not a bank account or equivalent, and your prepayments aren’t protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).
Instead, Park says customer prepayments are held in an independent trust designed to improve the protection of money paid towards orders.
Park is also a founder member of the Christmas Prepayment Association.
This distinction matters.
I wouldn’t move money from a normal savings account into Park simply because it’s called “Christmas Savings”. You’re giving up some flexibility and potentially interest in return for having your Christmas spending ring-fenced into gift cards.
For me, the attraction is the £20 bonus on a relatively small £50+ qualifying first order, combined with money I expect to spend around Christmas anyway.
When do you receive your Park Christmas gift cards?
Park says that as long as your account is fully paid, it starts dispatching vouchers and gift cards from September.
They are usually dispatched within around 21 days of your final payment clearing your account.
For Christmas 2026, Park says your final payment must reach them by 15 November 2026 at the very latest.
Park recommends aiming to have your final payment made earlier, around 1 November.
So you don’t wait until December and “cash out”. You complete your Christmas order and Park sends the cards you’ve selected.
Important Christmas 2026 dates
There are a few deadlines worth knowing:
1 September 2026: Park’s stated final date to add orders for Christmas 2026.
1 November 2026: Park’s recommended date to have your final payment made.
8 November 2026: Current deadline for amending voucher/gift-card orders, provided the account hasn’t already been fully paid.
15 November 2026: Absolute final payment deadline for Christmas 2026.
Because the standard final order date has technically passed, if Park is still allowing you to create a new Christmas 2026 order through the referral promotion, I’d complete the process sooner rather than leaving it until November.
Is Park Christmas Savings worth it?
For me, the £20 referral offer changes the calculation.
Without a bonus, I’m not sure I’d personally choose Park over simply putting £100 into a good easy-access savings account. Cash is more flexible, you may earn interest and you aren’t restricted by gift-card conditions.
But the current referral offer is more interesting.
If you’re already planning to spend at least £50 around Christmas, getting £20 added to your Park account for making a qualifying £50+ first order is a significant incentive.
That’s equivalent to a 40% reward relative to the £50 minimum qualifying spend.
There are still compromises:
Your money isn’t sitting in an instant-access bank account, you need to choose Park products, some gift-card conversions carry fees, and cancelling late in the year can result in a charge.
That’s why I’ve personally started with a £100 Christmas goal and £50 initial payment, rather than committing a large amount.
Can you refer friends after joining Park?
Yes, and this is another potentially useful part of the offer.
Once you’re eligible, Park gives you your own personalised referral link.
The current offer gives the referrer £20 on account for each qualifying new customer.
The official terms state that rewards are cumulative, although there are limits: you can earn a maximum of 5 referral rewards within a 24-hour period and 25 rewards within 12 months.
Park also says your referral offer can be shared for three months from the date you accept it.
That means the £20 offer shouldn’t be assumed to remain available indefinitely.

Final thoughts
I joined Park Christmas Savings because the £20 referral bonus on a £50+ first order caught my attention.
I’ve started conservatively with a £100 Christmas goal and made an initial £50 payment. I also like that I don’t have to commit to a fixed monthly payment.
There are downsides that are worth understanding. Park isn’t an instant-access savings account, your Christmas money ultimately comes back through the products you’ve ordered, some card exchanges can carry fees, and cancelling your entire order after 1 September can result in a charge.
So I wouldn’t move hundreds of pounds into Park just because there’s a referral offer.
But if you’re already going to spend £50 or more at Christmas and are happy using Park’s gift-card options, £20 on account for a qualifying £50+ first order is a genuinely attractive bonus.
